Admittedly, I’m not involved in the steampunk cosplay world, but it seems unlikely that the percentage of young, traditionally-attractive women involved in it could be equal to the percentage of the same depicted in photos. Makes me wonder how many of the models being photographed know why they’re in such a crazy getup. I always smile when I see steampunk art (illustrations or photos) with non-typical models (aka completely average, beautiful, everyday folks).
But like I say, I don’t really know. Maybe the cosplay world is 90% slim, symmetrical, twenty-something ladies.
