IT and Technology.

We couldn't run Snowbooks without the software we've written to help us. We automatically generate our webpages, catalogues, AIs, online shop pages and anything that involves bibliographic data, drawing on our ONIX data as the single source. This eliminates keying errors, saves buckets of time and the cost (in both money and embarrassment) of correcting errors.

We are also expert users of the Adobe suite of software: InDesign, Photoshop and Acrobat are particularly heavily used. This allows us to keep all our design in house, again saving us time and money but, more importantly, allowing us to keep control of this most crucial aspect of publishing. We can design your covers for you - but, even better, we can show you how to do it yourself.

We take advantage of the fact that the global publishing community has gone to the bother of creating an XML standard - available for free to everyone - called ONIX, to help us all communicate accurately about our books. Watch the video below of how easy we've made it to use our ONIX data to create numerous html files ready for uploading to our website.

ONIX

Read our Simple Guide to XML for Publishers, and ask us how you can make the most of your ONIX files. Use your ONIX data to populate AIs, webpages, catalogues, retailer spreadsheets, online shops and more.
